Morphology and Anatomy:

Strongylidae are thought to have arisen from free-living rhabditoid nematodes (Durette-Dusset et al., 1994).

• Synlophe with carene made up of two continuous ridges, in which only the ventral ridge is well developed; five scalloped dorsal ridges, 10 discontinuous ventral ridges. .
