.Effectively, B. listronoti sterilizes its host by inhibiting the maturation of the reproductive system in females (Gagnon et al., 2019), and its potential as a biological control agent is currently investigated.  (Note: use of the term "nematode castrator" by Gagnon et al seems inappropriate because castration is defined as removal of testes).
