Morphology and Anatomy:

 

  •  Body long, cylindrical, slender.
  • Cuticle transversely striated, lateral alae absent.
  • Lips merged into one large dorsal and one large ventral lip with elongated inner and outer labial papillae, lateral lips and their inner and outer sensilla reduced.
  • Cheilostom bilaterally symmeytrical, with  two anteriorly directed claw-like projections, one mid-dorsal and one mid-ventral; no gymnostom or stegostom.
  • Amphid foveslarge, unispiral, with wide groove, located slightly more than one head diam. from anterior end.
  • Cervical and somatic setae present.
  • Pharynx cylindrical with a posterior oval bulb, muscular. Cardia embedded in intestine.

Males:  

  • Rreproductive system diorchic; testes long, directed anteriorly.
  • Spicules relatively short, strongly curved, manubrium enlarged, gubernaculum with apophysis.
  • Many midventral precloacal tubular supplements and one precloacal setiform sensillum.
