Morphology and Anatomy:

Body spindle-shaped, ventrally curved.
Cuticle striated and with longitudinally homogeneous punctation. Striae in midbody,ornamented with punctations as equal short longitudinal rodds.
Labial region not offset. Six inner labial papillae close to the small round mouth opening; six outer labial papillae. Four cephalic setae.
Amphideal fovea small, transversally oval with hardly discernible spiral off 1.5 turns.
Somatic setae shorter than cephalic setae.
Cheilostome with crown of weak rugae (cheilorhabdia).
One dorsal distinct tooth and no opposite teeth in the pharyngostoma.
Pharynx muscular throughout its length, almost not widened anteriorly,ending ina terminal bulb with thickened internal cuticular lining.
Cardia small.
Ventral gland cell body situated ventrally of the intestine just posterior to the cardia..
Tail elongate conical, with a few subdorsal and subventral setae and terminal caudal tube.

Females:

Didelphic, amphidelphic. gonads antidromously reflexed.

Males:

Monorchic, testis outstretched
No midventral supplements but a very short midventral seta close anterior to the cloacal opening.
Spicules short, bent, with rounded distal tips and slightly widened asymmetrical proximal knobs.
Gubernaculum as paired bars parallel to the spicules but half as long.

Distribution:

Free-living marine nematodes described from 1635-1710 meter depth from an aggregate of mussels at Lucky Strike hydrothermal sit.Northern Mid-Atlantic Ridge.

Feeding:

Probably epistrate feeders with scraping tooth in stoma (Heip et al., 1998; Tchesunov, 2015)
