Morphology and Anatomy:

 

 

Females:
  • Didelphic, amphidelphic. gonads antidromously reflexed.

Males:  

  •  Monorchic, testis outstretched
  • No midventral supplements but a very short midventral seta close anterior to the cloacal opening.
  • Spicules short, bent, with rounded distal tips and slightly widened asymmetrical proximal knobs.
  • Gubernaculum as paired bars parallel to the spicules but half as long.

Distribution:

Free-living marine nematodes described from 1635-1710 meter depth from an aggregate of mussels at Lucky Strike hydrothermal sit.Northern Mid-Atlantic Ridge.

Feeding:

Probably epistrate feeders with scraping tooth in stoma  (Heip et al., 1998; Tchesunov, 2015)
