Morphology and Anatomy:

The genus can be separated into two groups., one in which males have supplements, the other in which males lack supplements (Andrassy and Gibson, 2006; Pinto and Neres, 2020)

  • large S-shaped hollow dorsal tooth  and a dorsal apophysis in  stoma.
  • one or two small subventral teeth.
  • amphids oval or loop-shaped
  • cuticle with regular punctations with 2-4 rows of larger punctations in lateral field.

Distribution:

Brackish water and marine habitats.

The genuss is distributed globally;  all species are marine inhabitants, inhabiting brackish waters of coastal regions to depths of the oceans. The representatives of the genus can be divided in two distinct groups. The Wrst group consists
