Morphology and Anatomy:

Cobbionema tenuis is characterized by:

• Body slender, 1400 um long.
• Cuticle with transverse rows of punctations, without lateral differentiation.
• Inner labial sensilla papilliform; six small outer labial setae slightly anterior to four cephalic setae, 2 um long. Cephalic setae, 6 um long.
•  Amphideal fovea multispiral with 4.5 turns, 14 um diam
•  Buccal cavity cylindrical, 3x deep as wide, in two portions; anterior portion with six cuticularized rhabdions, each with two pairs of large, pointed projections at posterior extremity; posterior with three y-shaped rhabdions narrowing posteriorly with hooks at anterior end
•  Pharynx enlarged anteriorly surrounding the posterior portion of the buccal cavity; widening posteriorly ato an elongate oval posterior bulb. Nerve ring at 38% of pharynx length; excretory pore posterior to the nerve ring; renette cell just below the pharyngeal base.
• Tail conico-cylindrical, 4.2 c.b.d. long, with a long spinneret (6 um). Caudal setae short and sparse. Three caudal glands present
