Morphology and Anatomy:

• Large nematodes
• Cephalic capsule well developed
• Cephalic suture twisting with deep invaginations
• Outer labial and cephalic setae 75% as long as head diameter.
• Stoma large, calysiform, with 3 blunt tooth-like projections with pores of pharyngeal glands opening at their bases.
• Serrated plates peresent in stoma
• Amohidia fove small. pocket-shaped

Distribution:

Free-living marine nematodes. Cylicolaimus magnus has been reported in the Gulf of Mexico associated with sulfide-rich brine seeps (Jensen, 1986)..
