Morphology and Anatomy:

Male:

  • Spicules strongly developed.

  • Gubernacula paired, parallel to spicules, with or without crus (lateral guiding pieces of gubernacula)..

  • One or two precloacal ventromedian supplements present.

  • Two precloacal subventral rows consisting of setae and/or papillae also present.

Distribution:

Free-living marine nematodes. Generally among the larger free-living marine nematodes.. .

Nematodes of this genus have been collected in both high and low latitudes of both hemispheres (Shimada and Jimi, 2022).
