Deep-sea nematodes; species of the family Leptosomatidae are reporterd to occur frequently in macrobenthic samples from the North-Western Pacific ocean. Reported at depths of 3300 to 4500 meters below sea level in the Kuril-Kamchatka Trench and adjacent areas.
