Morphology and Anatomy:

 

Females:

  •  Didelphic-amphidelphic, with equal branches, each 22-32%. of body length. 
  • Ovaries laterally reflexed, Uterus cylindrical, often containing eggs. Eggs almost spherical (45 × 52 um).
  • Vulva a ventral slit at about 45% of body length.
  • Tail 137-178 um long, uniformly tapering with a rounded tip and ending in a short and tubular spinneret.
  • Caudal setae 6-7; subterminal setae present on dorsal side close to spinneret

Males:  

  • Diorchic with each testis reflexed anteriorly, in right of the intestine.
  • Spicules, 32-40 um long, paired and symmetrical, curved ventrad; manubrium slender and rounded; calamus large and conoid; lamina ventrally curved.
  • Gubernaculum angular and spoon-shaped.
  • Ventral supplements of two types: six prominent, bulb-shaped supplements of equal size and 40 to 42 micropapillae  between the bulb-shaped supplements and anterior and posterior to them.
  •  Vas deferens joining ejaculatory duct at the level of the third supplement.
  • Tail similar to female with spinneret slightly sclerotized.
  • Caudal setae 9-10; subterminal setae present on dorsal side.

Distribution:

Species described from sandy soil with xerophilic vegetation  in the southeast of the Iberian Peninsula, Spain. A non-aquatic enviroment, differing from the aquatic of moist soil habitats of many species of the family Tobrilidae

Feeding:

Probably generalist predators of nematodes and micro-invertebrates.
