Morphology and Anatomy:

 

Females:

  • Body length 0.5-3.3 mm; slender to very slender.
  • Cuticle smooth.
  • Head rounded; not offset from body contour.
  • Labial papillae small but visible.
  • Amphid apertures visible; slit-like or oval; 2-6 head diameters behind head.
  • Esophagus long, widening posteriorly; with 7 gland nuclei.
  • Monovarial, opisthodelhic; with or without anterior uterine sac.
  • Vulva closed; vagina slender..
  • Tail varies among species; c' = 6-36.

  • rare.
