Morphology and Anatomy:

  • Body slender

  • Cuticle smooth

  • Lip region continuous with body contour

  • Mouth cavity inconspicuous

  • Two circles of six sensorial pits and a circle of four sensorial pits, conforming to the 6-6-4 arrangement of cephalic sensory structures of many nematodes.

  • Amphids 2.6-4.6 head diameters from anterior end, large, stirrup-shaped, with slit to oval openings.

  • Esophagus short, enlarging at a point beyond 80% of its length.

  • Tail long and slender.

Female:

  • Monodelphic, opisthodelphic

  • Vulva with sclerotized lips.

Male:

  • Monorchic, spicules large, tubular

  • Four to five mid-ventral preanal papillae.
