Classification:

Type species of the genus: Cobbonchus palustris (Cobb, 1917) Andrassy, 1958

Morphology and Anatomy:

• Dorsal tooth in anterior half of buccal cavity, opposed by two smaller subventral teeth in the posterior half of the buccal cavity, apexes of all three teeth directed anteriorly.
•  Esophago-intestinal junction nontuberculate.
• Tails short and conical, with caudal glands and terminal duct. Males known for half of the described species.
