Morphology and Anatomy:

 

 

 

  • Cuticle 1.5-2.4 um thick over most of body. Lateral chord occupying 25% of body diam.
  • Lip region offset by shallow constriction, lips rounded.
  • Sensilla slightly protruding. Amphid triangular, aperture 6 um.
  • Buccal cavity in two parts: anteriorly a wide chamber, becoming narrower posterior to dorsal  tooth
  • Dorsal tooth large. Numerous denticles on ventral and subventral walls posterior to anterior part of buccal cavity
  • .Several pores(‘geusids’) present in base of buccal cavity.
  • Cardia tuberculate.

Female:  

  • Monodelphic, prodelphic, ovary reflexed, on either right or left of intestine

  • Vulva a transverse slit at 58-64% of body length

  • Short PUS

  • Tail elongate

Distribution:

Described from soil around a coconut palm on campus of University Putra Malaysia in Western Malaysia.
