Morphology and Anatomy:

Males:
 

  • Diorchic, each testis thin-walled with many immature germ cells and elongated spindle-shaped spermatozoa,
  • The two testes join to a common vas deferens which leads to the ejaculatory duct
  • Six pairs ejaculatory glands
  • Spicules a little <2 abd
  • Gubernaculum a 30% of spicule length and lateral accessory pieces 16% of spicule length.
  • Ventromedian supplements 11-12.

 

Female:  

  • Didelphic, amphidelphic, both branches about equal; ovaries reflexed.
  • Vulva transverse. 2-5 prevulval papillae and 2-4 post-vulval papillae. 
  • Vagina thick-walled
  • Oviduct joining ovary subterminally,
  • Uterus a wide tube; distinct sphincter at oviduct-uterus junction.

Distribution:

Described from soil around the roots of tea plants (Camellia sinensis) at Lahijan, near the Caspian Sea, Iran (Choudhary et al., 2009).

Predaceous on other organisms, including nematodes; ingesters of prey.
