    Morphology and Anatomy:

    Two subgenera may be recognized: Arcaeobulura Quentin, 1969 and Labiobulura Quentin, 1969

    Distribution:

    The genus Labiobulura parasitizes the caecum and colon of bandicoots (Peramelidae) and bilbies (Thylacomyidae) from Australia and an endemic species of rodent, Leptomys (Muridae; Murinae), from Papua New Guinea (Smales, Citation2009).

    The genus occurs in the posterior region of the small intestine, caecum and colon of bandicoots (Peramelidae) and bilbies (Thylacomyidae), marsupials from Australia and also in an endemic rat (Murinae, Hydromyini) from Papua New Guinea
