Morphology and Anatomy:

• Body cuticle finely annulated, covered by a continuous layer of fine particles, and provided with prominent protruding concretion masses dispersed over the whole body in a more or less regular way, iforming rows.
• Two kinds of concretion masses are formed around long spines.
• Somaitic setaie homogeneous with tricomid arrangement.
• Head more or less triangular in side view.
• Ocelli present as light brownish oval pigment spots
• Esophagus cylindrical.

Female:

• Didelphic-amphidelphic.
• Spermathecae obscure.
• Vulva situated halfway along the body length.

Male:

• Not found

Free-living marine nematodes, type species reported from Moc:ambique Channel, near Ile Glorieuses, at 3700m depth.
