Mermithina: Mermithoidea; Mermithidae; Skrjabinomermis Poplozhentsev, 1952

Type species of the genus: Skrjabinomermis tolski Poplozhentsev, 1952

Synonyms:

Morphology and Anatomy:

Six cephalic papillae arranged at sane level.
Head nearly rounded.
Mouth central and terminal.
Some species with two hypodermal pegs near oral opening,
Amphids are pwith or without cross fibers.

Females:

Vagina obtuse-conical, with an apex slightly inclined towards the anterior end, short, slit straight.
Vulva with two hypodermal ridges.
Eggs oval and large.

Males:

.Spicules long, parallel and curved ventrally.
On the ventral side, there are pre- (20-25 pairs) and post-anal (8-10 pairs) male genital papillae.

Distribution:

A rare genus; species have been described from Russia and Iran. In most cases thay have been found in the rhizosphere soil of higher plants.
