Morphology and Anatomy:

Male:

  • Small white fusiform nematodes; distinctly truncate posteriorly,
  • Without caudal alae; caudal filament subterminal, directed dorsally.
  • Cuticle with annulations
  • Esophagus with corpus, isthmus and bulb.
  •  Lateral alae, approximately 10 um width, extending from level of esophageal isthmus to near end of body.
  • Monorchic, testis extending anteriorly from midbody region, flexing posteriorly behind excretory pore; vas deferens separated from testis by narrow tube.
  • Three pairs mammilliform caudal papillae: 1 precloacal pair, 1 postcloacal pair close to base of tail filament, 1 pair on tail filament.
  • Anterior cloacal lip with posteriorly directed digitiform ornamentation.
  • Spicule 118 um long, spindleform, tapering to blunt distal end.
  • Tail filament 62 um long, inserted dorsally approximately 30 um from end of body.

Female:

  • Small white cylindrical, tapering anteriorly to blunt point, posterior ending in median, stout spike.
  • Length around 5mm,
  • Cuticle with annulations approximately 30 um wide.
  • Vulva near mid body.
