Linhomoeidae Johnston, 1835 (?or Filipjav, 1922?)

A family of free-living marine nematodes.

• Head weakly cuticularized around stomal; opening
• Circular amphids.
• Cuticle striated or unstriated
• Cardia long and slender
• Three subfamilies diferrentated mainly on arrangement of cephalic steate and structure of buccal cavity (Leduc, 2023):
  • Eleutherolaiminae
  • Desmolaiminae
  • Linhomoeinae

Subfamily Linhomoeinae Filijev, 1922:

• Sensilla in 2 circles (6+10)
• Amphids circular
• Buccal cavity shallow, cup-shaped
• Pharynx widening posteriorly, sometimes intto bulb
