A family of parasites of the coelomic cavity and intestinal lumen of acanthodrilid and megascolecid annelids.
outer circle of four prominent cephalic sensillae
esophagus with more or less reduced valves
excretory system with strongly cuticularized excretory duct but without vesicle or visibly cuticularized canals in lateral chords;
Female diovarial; vagina strongly developed and morphologically divided into 3 parts;
Male with single spicule; no gubernaculum
