   Mononchulidae De Coninck, 1965

A small family of predator nematodes in terrestrial and freshwater habitats.

• Head continuous with body contour

• Cephalic papillae in 3 rings with 6-6-4 configuration

• Stoma more or less tubular,  encircled by esophageal tissue, anteriorly spacious, with large claw-like subdorsl tooth and about 6 rows of rasp-like subventral denticles

• Esophagus cylindrical with 5 gland nuclei

• Large cardiac glands at esophago-intestinal junction

• Tail of both sexes short, cylindroid, rounded with large subterminal ventral spinneret

Female:

• Prodelphic, monodelphic

Male:

• Paired spicules

• GubernaculumVentromedian supplements
