    Morphology and Anatomy:

     

     

    • General characteristics very similar to those of C. poae..
    • Body length >1mm, longer than that of C. poae..
    • Amphids with small to medium-sized, radial, slit-shaped opening
    • Stylet more about 35 um long, slender. Longer than that of C. poae.
    • Vulva slightly posterior to mid body.
    • Prodelphic ovary usually with double reflex, distal end occasionally reaching esophageal region.
    • Lateral field obscured by longitudinal striae.
    • Cuticle with pronounced annulation behind lip region;  tesselate where they meet longitudinal striae.
    • Deirid distinct.
    • Tail filiform gradually tapering to about 2 anal body widths posterior to anus, then long and filiform more posterior..

    Distribution:

    Described from soil in around native plants on Campbell Island, New Zealand.  Nore limited distribution than C. poae, mainly from the Tucker Valley and usually in mixed populations with C. poae. The vegetation is described as predominantly tussock grassland, tundra, scrub and dwarf forest (source: Wikipedia).
