Morphology and Anatomy:

Molecular and morphological analysis, and feeding habits, indicated that the tylenchid nematode extracted from fern plants, Polystichum munitum, differed from  all currently described members of Anguinidae sufficiently to warrant erection of a new genus.

 

Female: 

  • Vulva a transverse slit. Vagina at right angles to body axis.
  • Post-vulval uterine sac present.
  • Monodelphic, prodelphic; oary outstretched, oocytes in single row.
  • Spermatheca oblong, with or without rounded sperm.

  • Bursa well developed, extending less than half length of tail
