Morphology and Anatomy:

Differs molecularly from all other Meloidogyne spp. Morphologically similar to M. mali but differs in the shape of the perineal pattern which has a higher dorsal arch in M. mali (Subbotin et al., 2021).

Described from roots of grapevines in vineyards in Luliang County, Yunnan Province, China.

Damage:

More than 90 % of grape roots collected from vineyards in Luliang County, Yunnan Province, China were severely damaged by root-knot nematodes (Subbotin et al., 2021)..

Symptoms include stunted palnts, chlorosis, small fruit, galled and necrotic roots.
