Althouigh similar to M. dunensis, it differs in having a larger perineal psattern and some morphometric ratios.

Sedentary endoparasite.
Feeding site establishment and development typical of genus.
Sand twitch grass (Elymus famus) Ammophila arenaria and, in host range tests, wheat (Triticum aestivum cv Minatret).
Ecophysiological Parameters:
Only very small galls are induced so root infection is not easily detected..
