           Pratylenchus gutierrezi Golden, Lopez & Vilchez, 1992

The species is named for Professor Gilberto Guti6rrez Z. whose career was dedicated to improving coffee production in his native Costa Rica Golden et al., 1992)..

Morphology and Anatomy:

 
  • Lip region with 2 annules
  • Stylet knobs rounded and prominent
  • Lateral field with four incisures
  • Female monovarial, ovary outstretched, spermatheca present, vulva at > 80%. Post-uterine sac present.
  • Tail terminus striated.
  • Males present
