Sychnotylenchus asiaticus was descrtibed from the bark and wood of dead-pinewood nematode-infected black pine trees (Pinus thunbergii) in South Korea (Mwamula et al., 2026).
Feeding on fungi assaociated with insect frass and dead wood tissue.
Sychnotylenchus asiaticus is sexually reproducing based on presence of males and sperm in spermatheca.
