         Pratylenchidae
          Pratylenchinae (or Aprtaylenchinae)

           Apratylenchus Trinh, Waeyenberge, Nguyen,  Baldwin,  Karssen, & Moens, 2009.

Type species is Aprtaylenchus vietnamensis Trinh, Waeyenberge, Nguyen,  Baldwin,  Karssen, & Moens, 2009.

Morphology and Anatomy:

.

Female:

  • Immature females motile.
  • Mature females sedentary and club-shaped., broadest in the posterior third although narrowing posterior to the vulva (V= 85%).
  • Cephalic region is low and dome-shaped with all labial sectors fused .
  • Esophageal glands overlap the intestine ventrally.

Male: 

  • Motile.
  • Body shape stout and cylindrical.
  • Weak stylet with reduced knobs .
  • Tail conical with blunt terminus.
  • Spicules arcuate.
  • Gubernaculum non-protrusible.
