          Dolichorhynchus Mulk & Jairajpuri, 1974

Synonyms:
      Mulkorhynchus (Mulk & Jairajpuri, 1974) Jairajpuri, 1988

The original name of the genus, Dolichorhynchus, was determined to be in use for Dolichorhynchus Willey, 190I, a member of the Cephalochordata.
Consequently, Jairajpuri (1988) proposed the name Mulkorhynchus in recognition of the primary authority in the original description. Later, Fortuner and Luc (1990) reversed the change and redsignated the genus name as Dolichorhynchus.
