Recorded from the figs (sycones or syconia) of Ficus congesta in Australia (Davies et al., 2009).
Possibly feeding endoparasitically in the bracts of sycones.
Ecophysiological Parameters:
Sycones (figs) are closed inflorescences and nematodes of the genus Ficotylus probably have phoretic relationships with fig wasps and transferred between trees during pollination.
