Devibursaphelenchus Kakuliya, 1967

The genus was considered by Andrassy (2007) to be a junior synonym of Bursaphelenchus.  However, it is currently recognized by othe authorities, e.g. Kanzaki et al., 2022,

Feeding:

Usually found associated with tree bark and associated with bark beetle galleries.  Some species have predaory behavior on other nematodes.  For example, males, females and juveniles of Devibursaphelenchus wangi were observed feeding on Aphelenchoides sp. The bodies of Aphelenchoides sp. were penetrated by the stylets of D. wangi  (Gu et al., 2010).
