Morphology and Anatomy:

Generally similar to Gomphionema;
Buccal cavity strongly cuticularized with an anterior concave chamber and a cylindro-conoid posterior portion.
Dorsal tooth less strongly cuticularized than in Gomphionema and and reaching the cheilostoma
Esophageal bulb large,barrel-shaped, occupying approximately a third of the total esophageal length

Females:

Didelphic, amphiddphic, ovaries reflexed.

Males:

Diorchic, two opposed testes, rarely single anterior testis.
Midventral precloacal cup-shaped supplements present.
Spicules short and fairly straight but bent one-third of the distance from the distal end.
