Morphology and Anatomy:

Cyatholaimus amaleshi: a: anterior features; b: puntations and lateral pores; c: cup-shaped oral opening with rugae, buccal structures, amphid, cuticular punctations.

Males:  

  • Diorchic; anterior testis outstretched, posterior testis reflexed, on right and left of intestine, respectively.
  •  Spicules arcuate.
  • Gubernaculum proximally fused, distally paired, with serrations at dilated distal end.
  • Precloacal supplements present.

 

Females:

  •  Didelphic, amphidelphic, ovaries reflexed. Anterior ovary lying right to intestine; posterior ovaryyo left.

Distribution:

Type species, C. amaleshi, reported  from Bay of Bengal, coast of northeast India.
