Morphology and Anatomy:

Pomponema veronicae. Males:  

  • Diorchic, testes opposed, outstretched.
  • Spicules slightly arched with distal expansion
  • Gubernaculum with two L-shaped lateral plates
  • Twenty precloacal supplements, 7-8 um long

 

Females:

  • Didelphic, amphidalphic;
  • V at 50% of body length.

Distribution:

Collected in  fine to medium sand sediments in intertidal zone of Itapua beach, north-east Brazil.
