Morphology and Anatomy:

Males:  

  • Diorchic; anterior teste outstretched, 36-50% of body length
  • Spicula strongly cuticularized, arcuate
  • Gubernaculum with strong median piecc and relatively weak lateral flanges
  •  16-18 preanal supplements, consisting of' an outer plate-shaped piece and an inner cup-shaped piece with a pore through both.

 

Females:

  • Didelphic, amphidelphic, ovaries reflexed.
  • Vulva at 50-54% of body length, strongly cuticularized.

Distribution:

Collected in ecological investigations of the nematode fauna of a fine sand flat at Wrightsville Beach, north of Wilmington, North Carolina. Samples taken at various depths in the sediment at about the midtide level (Ott, 1972)
