Morphology and Anatomy:

Females:

  •  didelphic amphidelphic, ovaries reflexed and on left of intestine.
  • No spermathecae nor sperm observed.
  • Vagina vera sclerotized.
  • Tail conical.

Males:
 
  • monorchic, with anterior outstretched testis left of the intestine.
  • twelve precloacal setae and ten papillae anterior to the cloacal opening, intermigled
  •  Spicules extremely long, about 7 cloacal body diam long), filiform, only slightly curved
  •  gubernaculum without dorsal apophyses.

Distribution:

Type species, C. fonsecae, described from Campos Basin (Rio de Janeiro, Brazil), station 11 on the continental slope, water depth: 25 m, 2 cm surface layer of sediment.
