Morphology and Anatomy:

  • Body length 1-5mm
  • Cuticle almost smooth
  • Lip region offset from body contour
  • Odontostyle stong, longer than head width, aperture 1/4-1/3 of its length
  • Odontophore rod-like, generally longer than odontostyle
  • Enlarged portion of esophagus about half total length
  • Females diovarial, amphidelphic
  • Male with numerous supplements, mainly contiguous
  • Tail in both sexes elongate to filiform, 2-25x anal body diameter
