Morphology and Anatomy:

• Body +/- 1.5 mm long, strongly tapered anteriorly, spring-like coil in posterior region
• Cuticle smooth
• Lip region continuous with body contour.
• Odontostyle very long and thin, about 8-9x body diam at lip region.
• Esophagus widening in posterior third
• Type genus and species (A. torta) described from male, female unknown.
• Male with robust spicules, 4-5 supplements, spaced, tail pointed, curved ventrally.

Described from specimens from Chile

Possibly plant feeding as in other genera of the Nordiidae; may be omnivores (Yeates et al., 1993)
