Morphology and Anatomy:

The type species, Skibbenema constrictum has a constriction between the slender anterior part of the esophagus and the wider posterior part.

• Body length about 1 mm
• Cuticle smooth
• Head rounded, continuous with body contour
• Lips amalgamated
• Odontostyle straight
• Esophagus with constriction between the slender anterior part and the wider posterior part.
• Tail short and bluntly rounded.

Females:

• Didelphic, amphidelphic.
• Vulva transverse

The type-species, S. constrictum was described from soil in the vicinity of Pretoria, South Africa,
