Morphology and Anatomy:

• Large  nematodes, 1.5-.6.04 mm
• Cuticle 2-layered with fine striations and, in some species, superficial punctations
• Labial region slightly offset from body contour, lips amalgamated
• Amphid foveae cup to stirrup-shaped, opening at head constriction and almost half lip-region diameter.
• Odontostyle short and thick (1.1-1.7 x lip diameter) with aperture about half its length.
• Odontophore simple, rod-like, 1.3-1.8 x odontostyle length.
• Guiding ring single
• Esophagus enlarges gradually, enlarged portion slightly more than half total length; cardia conoid
• Female gonad diovarial, amphidelphic; vulva a tansverse otr longitudinal slit with sclerotized inner lips.
• Male spicules strong, swollen; Two to five pairs of adanal genital papillae which is unique among the Dorylaimida, one pair is the norm.
• Tail similar in both sexes, short conoid, conoid-rounded or hemispherical., usually <1x abd.
