Classification:

Enoplea
Bertzuckermania salina Khera, 1970
Type species of the genus.

According to Goseco et al (1974) the genus Bertzuckermania was described based on 11 specimens of B. salina Khera, 1970 and it appears that those specimens have been lost.

Morphology and Anatomy:

.

Female:
  • Nematodes < 1 mm long.
  • Outer cuticle layer smooth.
  • Lip region rounded, continuous with body contour.
  • Stomal ring of fused liplets present.
  • Odontostyle thin with very narrow lumen 
  • Odontophore simple
  • Anterior of esophgaus expanding gradually into a pyriform basal bulb which occupies about 1/4 of esophagus length.
  • Pre-rectum very long.
  • Female genital system didelphic, amphidelphic.
  •  Tail similar in sexes: short, rounded.

 

Males:  

  • dorylaimid spicules
  • No ventromedian supplements.
