Morphology and Anatomy:

Characteristice of the genus Vanderlindia: 

Ref: Heyns (1964), Siddiqi (1983).

Chitwoodius and Vanderlindia are similar with regard to the above features.  Both genera were assigned by Siddiqi (1983) to the subfamily Vanderlindinae Siddiqi, 1969 of the Tylencholaimidae.

Distribution:

The type species, Vanderlindia duplopapiillata, was described from soil around the roots of indigenous grasses in the Kruger National Park, South Africa.

Nematodes in the Tylencholaimidae often considered fungal feeders (Yeates et al., 1993)
