Morphology and Anatomy:

Characteristice of the genus Neometadorylaimus: 

• Body length 2.5 to 3.3 mm
• Cuticle tylencholaimoid with distinct radial eloements
• Lip region offset from body contour, cp-lile
• Odontostyle strongly sclerotized, short
• Odontophore simple, dorylaimoid.
• Esophagus muscular, cylindirical, enlarging near middle
• Female didelphic-amphidelphic,
• Vulva longitudinal
• Male  unknown

Ref: Andrassy, 2009 who points out that the characteristics of Neometadorylaimus are very close yo those of Metadorylaimus, the main difference being the longitudinal vs. transverse vulva. a

The type species, Neometadorylaimus coomansi, is described from soil in India.
