Characteristice of the genus Metadorylaimus: 

• Body length 2.2-2.7 mm
• Cuticle structure with both tylencholaimoid and dorylaimoid characteistics
• Lip region cap-like, offset
• Odontostyle robust, short, thick walled
• Odontophore simple
• Esophageal enlargement long, cylindrical
• Female didelphic, amphidelphic
• Vulva transverse
• Tail short, hemispherical.
• Male unknown
