Morphology and Anatomy:

Genus characterized by the nature and arrangement of the spines on the body, especially the dorsal crest which is restricted to the cervical region and formed of three longitudinal rows of large spines.

• Body elongate, attenuated with spines of different shapes and sizes in diffrenet areas.
• Large crest of 3 rows of dorsal spines restricted to cervical region.
• 2 large pairs of spines on ventral cervical region and rows of smaller spines in posterior region of body.
• Mouth with 3 bilobed lips; dorsal with 2 papillae, subventrals with 1 papilla and amphid.
• Esophagus with muscular anterior and glandular posterior
• Excretory pore large, posterior to esophagus.
