Klossinemella Costa, 1961 is one of six genera of the cosmocercoid family Atractidae which include species parasitizing fishes (Moravec et al., 2025)
Food Sources and Feeding strategies for the genus Klossinemella
Parasites of the digective tract of their hosts: freshwater fish and turtles.
Moravec and Vernon (1997) observed the pyloric caeae and upper centimeters of intesting packed with large numbers of Klossinemella iheringi then the remained of the intestinal tract packed with another atractid nematode, Rondonia rondoni; the two species clearly separated.
