Described from Porcupine Seabight in the North Atlantic Ocean off the coast of Belgium at a depth of 1005 m. Associated withcold-water coral reef degradation, attached to sponge and coral fragments, and in the sediment.
Specimens of this species have also been recovered at depths of 182 and 805 meters on the Antarctic shelf.
