Feeding:

Food Sources and Feeding strategies for the genus Gallegostrongylus

Snails are intermediate hosts of many species while rats, domestic dogs and wild mammals and other vertebrates are the definitive hosts (Souza et al., 2009)..

Accidental infections of humans sometimes occur, resulting in characteristic clinical symptoms (Wang et al., 2008)
