Distribution:

Described from the lungs of Nigerian Gerbil (Gerbillus nigeriae) in Burkino Faso (Upper Volta) by Petter, 1972. Also reported from Chad.

  A lungworm. Reported from Gerbillus nigeriae and G. kempii (Cowie, 2019)

Life Cycle:

Known intermediate hosts, either from natural or experimental infections are gastropod molluscs Lymnaea stagnalis, Planorbarius corneus, Cornu aspersum, Deroceras reticulatum and Arion hortensis (Cowie, 2019).
